SQUARE Textile Exhibiton at Ginza Motoji

The "SQUARE Textile"  exhibition which explores the possibilities of surface dyeing, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Contributors to the exhibitons over the years include notable figures such as Nakano Shiro (known for his Sarasa), Matubara Nobuo(for Nagaita Chuugata) and Yamazaki Hiroki (for Natural Dying).

Leading up to the exhibition starting on March 20, 2024, we are showcasing past works of participating artists in our store window.

The "SQUARE Textile" exhibition brings together a diverse range of participants, including dyeing and weaving artisans, contemporary artists, and textile artists, all experimenting with the possibilities of dyeing. Many of these works feature intriguing expressions that transcend traditional frameworks, offering a glimpse into new possibilities in dyeing. We invite you to come and see for yourself.
