Trailblazers NHK WORLD Media Feature

Keita Motoji, the owner of Ginza Motoji will appear on the television series TRAILBLAZERS: Japan's Next Innovators.
This program seeks out and introduces Trailblazers in a variety of industries within Japan, from craftspeople, chefs, designers, and many more.

Motoji is an advocate for kimono, and works to share its beauty with everyone all over the world. The full 30-minute episode closely follows Motoji and his work within the kimono industry, and his vision for the future.

Motoji has worked at the shop founded by his father 43 years ago for over ten years, but only last year took the reigns and begun to make it his own.
He is involved in many projects, such as visiting the silkworm farmers who produce the Platinum Boy silk with the customers, to see up close how the silk is made.
He also pursues new techniques, such as having fabric dyed with dyes made from Ginza's willow tree, as well as collaborating with young kimono artisans, bringing tradition an innovation together.
