東京友禅作家・生駒暉夫さんは、長野県佐久市の緑あふれる豊かな森と悠然な大地で18歳までを過ごしました。伝統を踏まえつつも動きのある大胆な構図、豊かな色彩表現が持ち味の「東京友禅らしい品格のある都会的な感覚」を大切にした職人の粋。夕暮れ時まで野山で虫を追いかけ、山脈の峰を眺めながら山道を歩いた幼少期。朝もやに包まれる幻想的な瞬間、雪が全てを白に包み込んだ銀世界の美しさ、自然の荘厳そして四季をめぐる風情。そこで育まれた感性が、あたたかな視点で、時に微笑あふれるユニークなモチーフで作品に表現されています。

Yuzen

Ikoma Teruo was born and raised in Saku-shi, Nagano. Until the age of 18, he lived there surrounded by forests and abundant greenery, chasing insects in fields and mountains until dusk.

He witnessed the diversity of the four seasons, from bright summers to landscapes covered in thick blankets of snow. The marvelous beauty of nature has a huge influence on his work. Bold compositions with visceral movement and expression, rich in color, are based on traditional techniques and motifs. Ikoma’s work is characterized by its classical yet contemporary aesthetic, which stands out perfectly against the Tokyo cityscape.

森藤一郎氏に師事（友禅）、井原優山氏に師事（水墨画）
1984年独立作家活動に入る
1986年第25回染芸展東京都知事賞を受賞

1994年第32回染芸展 3度目の大賞を受賞
1995年第32回日本伝統工芸染織展初入選
1996年第43回日本伝統工芸展初入選
